What are SF1 and SF4 Surface Treatments? Mechanically Polished and Electropolished
Tri-Clover BioPharm fittings are manufactured with two surface treatments: SF1 and SF4. Both treatments ensure excellent hygiene and durability, but they differ in the treatment method and surface smoothness.
SF1: Mechanically polished, with an internal roughness (Ra) of ≤ 20 µin. This mechanical polishing provides a smooth and easy-to-clean surface, ideal for the hygiene requirements of the food and pharmaceutical industries.
SF4: Electropolished, with an internal roughness (Ra) of ≤ 15 µin. Electropolishing gives an extra smooth and corrosion-resistant surface, perfect for applications where the highest standards of cleaning and long-term durability are required.
